Drawing Variety of Phone Vector Tutorial

Two weeks ago I shared a tutorial about how to draw a phone quickly. I made 5 other phone vector using the same phone that I shared in that tutorial. I am going to use these phone vectors for mockup purpose and provide a lot of phone based vector like using phone apps or features.

1st Phone

Inspired by Himax phone

  • Use Rectangle tool, adjust the Round handler. There are 2 round handler at the top-right-corner of the object. Drag the handle a little to left and drag another handle to bottom. As you see on the property bar, Rx is the horizontal round handle and Ry is the vertical round handle. In this object, the Rx: 7.647 and Ry: 16.370.
  • I do resize the phone speaker to be smaller. And the phone camera more round.

Note: The Rx and Ry value is depend on your drawing size (Check the W&H on property bar), It may vary between your rx/ry value and mine.

1. how to set he round handle for phone vector

  • Color: I apply white color as the phone case (from now on I will call it case object) color and light-blue300 as the screen, speaker, and the camera color. (RGBA: 4fc3f7ff)
  • Background: I use soft orange, or amber200 in material design as the background color. This color will be applied for all phone vector. (RGBA: ffe082ff)

2. himax phone vector

Tips: To apply RGBA color code, go to Objects >> Fill and Stroke (Ctrl+Shift+F). Copy the color code and paste at RGBA column.

2nd Phone

This second phone is inspired by Samsung phone design.

  • You don’t have to drag the horizontal round handle, Only need to drag the vertical round handle to bottom a little. In this drawing my vertical round properties is 18.327
  • I resized the speaker and camera to be smaller. Move the camera object to right side of the speaker.
  • Case color: White
  • Screen, speaker and camera color is soft pink; RGBA: ffaaaaff

Drawing the phone button;

  • Use a Rectangle tool (F4), draw a rectangle.
  • Adjust the round handler, make it as it look comfortable enough for you to see
  • Copy that object, make it smaller
  • Select both object, open Align and Distribute. Choose Center on vertical axis and Center on Horizontal axis.
  • Still selecting them, go to path >> Difference (Ctrl+-)
  • Select the button object and the case object, open Align and Distribute. Choose Center on vertical axis.

Note: I intentionally make it transparent in order to make it easier for you to understand.

7. samsung phone vector

3rd Phone

Inspired by iPhone

  • You don’t have to drag the horizontal round handle as well, Only need to drag the vertical round handle to bottom a little. In this drawing my vertical round properties is 13.663
  • I resized the speaker and camera to be smaller, smaller than Samsung’s. The camera stays in the left side of the speaker.
  • Case color: White
  • Screen, speaker and camera color is Gray; RGBA: ccccccff

8. how to draw iphone vector

Drawing the phone button;

  • Use a Ellipse tool (F5), draw a circle.
  • Adjust size, make it as it look comfortable enough for you to see
  • Copy that object, make it smaller
  • Select both object, open Align and Distribute. Choose Center on vertical axis and Center on Horizontal axis.
  • Still selecting them, go to path >> Difference (Ctrl+-)
  • Select the button object and the case object, open Align and Distribute. Choose Center on vertical axis.

4th Phone

Inspired by Xiaomi Phone

  • If you use the phone vector from the previous tutorial, no changes necessary to do. But just in case you don’t, you just need to drag the vertical round handle to bottom a little (Ry: 6.857).
  • I do resize the speaker but not the camera. I intentionally make them combined for drawing variation.
  • Case color is black; RGBA: 212121ff / Material Design: Gray 900.
  • Screen, camera and speaker color is Green; RGBA: cddc39ff / Material design: lime 500

I don’t use any button for this phone

5th Phone

Inspired by Oppo Phone

  • You have to drag the horizontal round handle to the left until it maxed (half of the line). Drag the vertical handler to bottom a little. In this drawing my vertical round properties is 11.016
  • I resized the camera to be smaller, and drag it to the left side of the phone. In this phone vector I redraw the speaker manually using pen tool (Shift + F6)
  • Case color: RGBA: 212121ff / Material Design: Gray 900.
  • Screen, camera and speaker color is Dark Orange; RGBA: ff6f00ff / Material design: amber 900

13. how to draw oppo phone vector

  • Drawing this phone method is similar to the second phone. But this is kinda square so you just need to resize it.

14. oppo phone vector

6th Phone

Inspired by Nokia Lumia Phone

  • You dont have to drag any round handle for this phone.
  • Camera does not need to be resized but you need to put it on the right side of the phone.
  • Case color: RGBA: 212121ff / Material Design: Gray 900.
  • Screen, camera and speaker color is Yellow; RGBA: ffeb3bff / Material design: Yellow 500

15. how to draw nokia lumia phone vector

Drawing the Phone Button

  • Use Rectangle tool (F4), draw a square.
  • Draw another rectangle, longer but smaller, about 20% of the square object we just created
  • Use Align and Distribute, make Center on vertical and horizontal axis.
  • Duplicate (Ctrl+D) The rectangle on step 2, rotate it by 90 degree.
  • Select the Square and the first rectangle, perform difference (Ctrl+-). This will cut the Square object from top to bottom right in the middle of the square.
  • Select the Square and the second rectangle, perform difference (Ctrl+-). This will cut the Square object from right to left, in the middle of the square.
  • It’s done.
